OCEAN steps down as Knights coach
OCEAN has announced that he is stepping down as VALORANT coach for the Knights. The 35-year-old Canadian specialist announced this on his personal Twitter page.
As the future of the Knights hangs in the air, I am currently considering coaching offers and the team is allowing me to explore options for further development. I'm also interested in any support roles for VALORANT partner teams.
OCEAN has been the coach of the Knights for the past year and a half. During this time, the 35-year-old Canadian specialist helped the team win Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship - Open 5 and Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship - Open 12, as well as get into the top three winners at the end of Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship - Open 1, Community Gaming Valorant Elite Showdown, Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship and Knights Gauntlet Circuit Monthly 2022: April, among others.
However, the Knights organization failed to make it onto the list of Riot Games partners to participate in the TIER-1 scene. Immediately after this, most of the players announced their departure from the club in search of new opportunities. However, it is not clear if the Knights intend to remain disciplined and develop their youth program further.
