JDM resigns as head coach of FaZe Clan
JDM steps down as FaZe Clan VALORANT Head Coach. The 32-year-old American specialist announced this on his social networks, adding that his contract with the eSports club had ended.
As of today, I no longer have a contract with Faze Clan. The past year has been an amazing learning experience for me and I want to thank the organization for giving me the opportunity. I also want to thank the amazing players and staff I've had the pleasure of working with - you all helped make my time with Faze Clan unforgettable.
JDM took over FaZe Clan last September. During this time, the 32-year-old American specialist helped the team win Proving Grounds $20k - Spring 2022, as well as get into the top three at the YFP Winter Classic, Knights Gauntlet Circuit Monthly 2022: April, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers and VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Last Chance Qualifier.
Recall that the FaZe Clan organization was not included in the number of Riot Games partners, as a result of which it will not be represented in the top competitive ecosystem along with Sentinels, 100 Thieves, NRG, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports and KRÜ Esports.
Immediately after the announcement of the list of partners, the club allowed its players to look for options to continue their careers. However, the future of FaZe Clan in the discipline remains unclear, as the organization has not made an official announcement regarding its plans. However, there is a possibility that the club will not develop its division due to low profitability.
FaZe Clan's current roster for the VALORANT discipline:
- babybay
- poised
- zecK (assistant coach)
- Mas (analyst)
