JamezIRL steps down as Cloud9 head coach
North American esports organization Cloud9 has decided to part ways with JamezIRL. The 33-year-old American specialist announced this on his social networks. It is likely that the club will look for a new head coach among the available options, which have become enough since the announcement of the number of partners.
Because Cloud9 decided to explore other options, I became a restricted free agent. I love my team and put my heart and soul into everything I do.
JamezIRL has been working with the Cloud9 team for the past two years. During this time, the 33-year-old American specialist won with the Nerd Street Gamers team: 2021 Monthly March, Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship, VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier and Knights Arena Valorampage, and also got into the TOP-3 according to the results of NSG x Renegades Invitational, VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals and VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers.
In addition, last season the American led the team to the VALORANT Champions 2021 playoffs, but did not make it to any international championship in 2022.
Note that Cloud9 is currently working on two transfers at once - Zellsis and yay. Probably, at the same time, a new head coach will be introduced to the team, who will lead the team next season.
Cloud9 has partnered with Riot Games and will take part in the top competitive ecosystem alongside Sentinels, 100 Thieves, NRG Esports, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports, and KRÜ Esports.
Cloud9's current VALORANT roster:
- leaves
- Xeppaa
- vanity
- vexel and vapen (coaching staff)
- mitch and curry (inactive)
