Rumors: G2 plans to leave the European region for Valorant

European esports organization G2 Esports is set to leave the European Region for Valorant. Management plans to apply to move to North America.

The problem with this decision is that the team will have to abandon most of its composition. According to the current rules, only 2 players from Europe can remain in the roster.

This year, G2 Esports can boast a 2nd place at VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers, which brought the team $33,197, and a 5-6th place at VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík, thanks to which the organization earned $40,000. The last tournament in which the team took part was VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers. Mixwell and his teammates finished in 7th-8th place for a $12,533 reward. Probably, this could be the reason for considering leaving the region.
