Counter Logic Gaming intends to sign a male VALORANT roster

According to insider George Geddes, the North American esports organization Counter Logic Gaming intends to sign a male VALORANT roster. The club is preparing to apply for participation in the partner league next year, after which it will be engaged in the formation of a full-fledged team.

The organization will attempt to form a men's VALORANT team in the next few months, but will likely face stiff competition from other clubs seeking a slot in the partner league.

Recall that Counter Logic Gaming has been represented in the VALORANT discipline since the spring of 2020, when the organization formed the Counter Logic Gaming Red female roster. At the same time, the North American team is one of the strongest representatives of the scene, having victories in the Knights Sakura Cup #1, DarkZero #GoingPink Charity Event and Super Girl Gamer Pro - Fall 2021: Championships.

Counter Logic Gaming, like almost every other top North American club, has applied to partner with Riot Games for VALORANT. If the application is accepted, Counter Logic Gaming will participate in the affiliate system along with other accepted organizations. This league, which starts next year, will also feature teams from Brazil and Latin America.

Other organizations will also look to join the North American league as this will likely increase viewership. For example, the European organization G2 Esports has already applied for a franchise in North America. According to sources, the organization has also applied for the European league as a backup option.

Teams will be advised if they will be accepted into their respective partner leagues around September, closer to the VALORANT launch dateChampions 2022.
