Overwatch 2 Blasts into Anime Universe with Cowboy Bebop Crossover: Skins, Crossovers, and More!
Blizzard is set to launch an exciting crossover event for Overwatch 2, teaming up with the iconic anime series Cowboy Bebop. This collaboration, announced following a teaser in the Season 9 reveal trailer, is scheduled to go live on March 12. This event marks another venture into anime collaborations for Overwatch 2, following a successful partnership with One-Punch Man that brought several anime-inspired skins to the game.
The Overwatch 2 x Cowboy Bebop event will introduce fans to a collection of skins that blend the game’s characters with beloved figures from the anime. Players can look forward to acquiring five unique skins: Cassidy transformed into Spike Spiegel, Ashe as Faye Valentine, Sombra taking on the role of Ed, Mauga depicted as Jet Black, and Wrecking Ball reimagined as Ein. While the first four skins will be purchasable, the details regarding their prices remain undisclosed. However, the Ein skin for Wrecking Ball will be available for free, adding a special treat for the players.
With Blizzard’s evident interest in anime collaborations, speculation about future partnerships is buzzing, with many fans hopeful for a crossover with Naruto, considering the potential for a perfect match with the Overwatch 2 character roster. Beyond anime, Overwatch 2 has also ventured into other crossover territories, including a successful collaboration with K-pop group LE SSERAFIM and an upcoming event with Porsche, set to launch in Season 10. This partnership is anticipated to introduce Overwatch 2 skins inspired by Porsche, with a D.Va skin confirmed to be part of the collaboration.
As Overwatch 2’s Season 10 nears, expected to commence around April 9, players can anticipate a host of updates, including hero balance changes and new skins, alongside the eagerly awaited Cowboy Bebop event. This blend of gaming and cultural icons continues to enrich the Overwatch 2 experience, offering fans more ways to engage with and enjoy the game.
