EDward Gaming made changes to the LoL roster

Representatives of the Chinese esports club Edward Gaming announced the reshuffles in their League of Legends roster. The announcement of the changes took place on the Weibo page of EDward Gaming.

Li 'Flandre' Xuanjun, who played on the top lane, left the team. He has been with EDward Gaming since December 2020 and it is he who became part of the memorable event in 2021. Flandre helped his teammates reach the finals of the 2021 World Championship, the premier annual tournament, win the final and lift the champion's trophy over their heads.

Before that, Flandre, by the way, together with his teammates also won the LPL Summer 2021, the largest split in the vast professional League of Legends scene. 2022 was not as successful for EDward Gaming as the last one. The team first took 7th-8th place at the LPL Spring 2022, after which they became the bronze medalist of the LPL Summer 2022. In the subsequent regional final of the Chinese split, they won and reached the 2022 World Championship, but the team could not even come close to being able to defend the World Champion title, taking the 5th-8th position in the standings.

This result seemed unsatisfactory to the management and top management began to make changes in the roster. Hu 'Ale' Giale, who previously played in the ranks of LNG Esports, took the place of the departed top liner. By the way, where Flandre will continue his career has not yet been reported.

Two mid players and a bot lane player also joined the ranks of EDward Gaming. Now, in addition to Scout, Korean esportsman Fisher and Taiwanese FoFo will also have the right to play in the middle lane. The first was transferred from the youth squad of Edward Gaming Young, while FoFo previously had a contract with Bilibili Gaming

The updated roster will test its strength at the Demacia Cup 2022 tournament for Chinese teams. There, the team will compete with such opponents as Anyone's Legend, Bilibili Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, Invictus Gaming, JD Gaming, LGD Gaming, LNG Esports, Oh My God, Rare Atom, Royal Never Give Up, Top Esports, ThunderTalk Gaming, Ultra Prime, Victory Five, Weibo Gaming and Team WE.
