Sky is T1 coach for next season
The T1 esports organization, known for its LoL and Dota 2 rosters , has announced on social media that Kim 'Sky' Ha-neul has become the coach of the main League of Legends T1 roster. We previously reported that Faker has extended his contract with the South Korean organization .
Prior to his promotion, Sky worked as a mentor for T1 Rookies from August 2021 to September 2022. It was the former player's first coaching experience. Together with him, T1 Rookies became the champions of the LCK AS 2022 1st Championship, after which they took 2nd place in the LCK AS 2022 1st Championship Playoffs, which brought the team ₩3,000,000 (~$2,262). The Koreans also prevailed at LCK AS 2022 August, earning an additional ₩2,000,000 (~$1,508).
Kim Ha-neul had a long career as a player, his active performances lasted from December 2015 to January 2021. The esportsman managed to play for such teams as CJ Entus, SK Telecom T1, RED Canids and XTEN Esports. Sky's achievements include 2nd place at CBLOL 2018 Split 1, 3rd place at CBLOL 2018 Split 1 Playoffs, and 3rd-4th place at CBOLÃO Season 1.

T1 had a successful season this year. The team became the champion of the spring split, and at MSI 2022 and the summer split, the Koreans won silver. At the League of Legends World Championship, Worlds 2022, Faker and his team-mates stopped short of the championship, losing 2-3 to DRX and earning $333,750.
