Kaas and Nukeduck join 100 Thieves coaching staff
North American esports organization 100 Thieves has announced the appointment of a new coaching staff for its League of Legends roster. Kaas became the team's new head coach, while Nukeduck joined the club as an assistant coach.
A new strategist at the forefront. Please welcome Kaas, our LCS Head Coach! In addition to our staff, Nukeduck and Kirei will join us as assistant coaches in 2023. Reconstruction starts right here.
Kaas spent the last three seasons on the MAD Lions coaching staff at the end of 2019. During this time, the Belgian specialist helped the team win at LEC Spring 2021 and LEC Summer 2021, get into the top three at LEC Spring 2020 and Mid-Season Invitational 2021, and also take part in the 2020 World Championship (19-20th place), 2021 World Championship (5th-8th place) and 2022 World Championship (17th-18th place).
I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity in a TIER-1 organization. Happy to use my previous experience to rebuild the 100 Thieves program in League of Legends,” wrote Kaas
In turn, Nukeduck has just completed his active career as an esports player. For the last one and a half seasons, the Norwegian played for the Excel Esports team, with which he did not achieve significant success.
Note that with these appointments, the organization launches a mechanism for restructuring the roster, which at the end of the season parted ways with Abbedagge, FBI, huhi and Ssumday. Moreover, from the previous roster, only the jungler Closer remained in the clip.
Updated roster of 100 Thieves in the League of Legends discipline:
- Closer
- Kaas (head coach)
- Nukeduck (assistant coach)
- Kaimera (Chief Analyst)
