Ellim ends cooperation with T1
Representatives from esports organization T1 revealed that Choi 'Ellim' El-Lim will pursue his career as a professional League of Legends player elsewhere. The Korean jungler joined the club on December 28, 2018 as a coach. On November 26, 2019, he switched from the position of a mentor to the role of a player and spent the last 2 years with his comrades on an equal footing.
He had both successful and not so successful tournaments at T1. At LCK Spring 2020 T1, with the help of Ellim, they were able to take first place and receive the main reward of $ 81,196. After 4 months, they finished in fifth position in the LCK Summer 2020, and a month later they finished their way to the LCK Regional Finals 2020 on the second line, which stopped the team one step from reaching the group stage of the 2020 World Championship. Next year, the best that Ellim could achieve with his teammates was the 4th place at LCK Spring 2021.
Now with the departure of Ellim, there are six players left in the T1 roster. What other personnel changes will be in the LoL team is currently unknown. By the way, T1 was told that Ellim had found a new club in which he would continue his career, but they decided to refrain from a specific name.
T1's roster now looks like this:
- Kim 'Canna' Chang-dong
- Choi 'Zeus' Woo-ye
- Moon 'Oner' Hyeon-yun
- Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyeok
- Lee 'Gumayusi' Min-hyeon
- Ryu 'Keria' Min-seok
