Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake postponed
The release of the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was postponed indefinitely, one month before the scheduled release.
Originally scheduled for January 2021, a remake of the "2003 classic" was pushed back two months to March 18 last December. Now Ubisoft has postponed the title indefinitely without a new release date.
Ubisoft tweeted: “We have decided to postpone the release for Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake to a later date.
The first details about the future remakes of the classics appeared in September last year. The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake was originally slated for January 20. Later, the authors of the game announced that they want to release a new version of the original action game that everyone will like, and postponed the release date to March 18.
The authors stressed that they want to finalize several important ideas that will appeal to fans of the series. Ubisoft's exact intentions remain a mystery, however.
The original Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was released back in 2003 and spawned two sequels, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. However, the franchise has largely been dormant since the 2010 Forgotten Sands release, while Assassin's Creed became full-fledged. the successor to the franchise.
