Players Can Fully Decide Jason & Lucia's Relationship in GTA 6 - More Details Revealed

As is well known, Jason and Lucia are the two main characters in GTA 6, and—just like in the fifth installment—players will be able to switch between them both during story missions and while exploring the open world. But Rockstar has gone even further by making their relationship one of the game’s central themes, which will influence the story’s development and certain gameplay aspects.

Some new information about Jason and Lucia’s relationship in GTA 6 has come to light thanks to the well-known YouTuber MikeShowSha. He was one of the few people who got to try out an early version of the game and also chat with Rob Nelson, head of development and co-studio head at Rockstar North, during his playthrough. In a new YouTube video, MikeShowSha revealed that Jason and Lucia may be in a romantic relationship and might even break up at some point in the game—but they’ll still remain a criminal duo and partners. Additionally, according to the YouTuber, the characters will have different fighting styles. While Jason prefers a street-fighter style, using powerful strikes and brute force, Lucia specializes in kickboxing and mixed martial arts. This move will allow Rockstar to diversify the combat system and appeal to a wider range of fans.

Grand Theft Auto VI will reportedly players to decide Jason and Lucia’s relationship

  • Players can develop a healthy relationship between the two leads
  • They can also turn their relationship toxic
  • They can also break up and continue the game as partners in crime, rather than romance
  • It all depends on player actions and choices throughout the game.

I wonder if that means you will have other options for romance or flings, given that the game has its club and know for a lived-in experience in a rich detailed and realistic world.

It was also previously reported that if you explore the world of GTA 6 with two characters, it strengthens your relationship, but if you don’t reply to messages or, for example, visit a strip club while playing as Jason, it can have a negative impact. There is also a theory that Lucia might betray Jason at some point in GTA 6; this view is held by users who noticed that the song "Devil Woman" plays during Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, hinting at the protagonist’s true identity.

In one of his interviews, the above-mentioned Rob Nelson also admitted that Rockstar originally planned to have four main characters in GTA 6 but ultimately decided that was too many. However, he recently stated that the team was concerned about the fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 had only one playable character. As Nelson explained, developers always strive to build on ideas from previous projects, but in terms of having multiple main characters, RDR 2 differed from GTA 5. Nevertheless, that didn’t prevent the game from becoming one of the best in history.
