Insomniac Games Confirmed Marvel’s Wolverine Has Gone Gold and Is Set to Release on September 15
September 2026 is going to be one of the busiest months for major video game releases. This is largely down to the November release of GTA 6, which has led studios to fear competition from Rockstar and decide to release their games earlier. The latest confirmed game, which is definitely set to be released on schedule, is Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games.
On its social media platforms, Insomniac has confirmed that Marvel’s Wolverine, a new PlayStation 5 exclusive, has officially gone gold and will be available on September 15th. The developers marked the moment with a short video in which Logan shows off his golden claws, and the studio also made it clear that these aren't just promotional material but that they will actually feature in the game, as you can check out below:
Today, we're popping claws in celebration… Marvel's Wolverine has GONE GOLD!
(And yes, you can unlock and equip the Gold Claws in the game!)
One of Insomniac’s recent announcements also concerned the game’s Deluxe Edition. The developers reminded players that they would receive five additional costumes, some of which are original designs and others taken directly from the Marvel comics.
It is expected that, shortly after the release of Marvel’s Wolverine, Insomniac may gradually begin announcing its future games set in the Marvel universe. A recent leak has revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Venom could be released in next November, with PlayStation 6 listed among the platforms, while IMDB has revealed the existence of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.
Marvel’s Wolverine will release on September 15 exclusively for PlayStation 5.
