Marvel’s Spider-Man: Venom Rumored Release Date and Platforms Revealed

There is less than a month to go until the release of Marvel’s Wolverine—the new project developed by Insomniac Games—but it is reported that the studio is also working on several other projects, including an unannounced spin-off focused on Venom. And although the studio has yet to say a word about the project, an insider has revealed the game’s title and exact release date.

On his X page, a PlayStation insider known as IronManPS5_ claimed that, following Marvel’s Wolverine, Insomniac will release Marvel’s Spider-Man: Venom—which is the title of the spin-off dedicated to the villain. He also reported that the game will be released on November 11, 2027, on PlayStation 5 and—note—PlayStation 6. It is unclear where he got this information from, given that Sony has not yet confirmed the release of the next-generation console. In any case, this report should be considered a rumor.

Not long ago, another well-known insider, That REDACTED Guy, who had previously reported on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Venom, confirmed that more details about the game would be revealed following the launch of Marvel’s Wolverine. He had also previously reported that the game is scheduled for release in 2027. Meanwhile, IMDb has revealed Marvel's Spider-Man 3 is officially in production, though the studio hasn't made any announcement of its own yet. The listing names Bryan Intihar and Ryan Smith as game directors, with Yuri Lowenthal returning to voice Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

As for Marvel’s Wolverine, the developers have also shared new info recently, covering PS5 technical specs, gameplay features, character details, and more. Gaming outlets have also weighed in with early impressions, praising the combat system in particular, along with the emotional story that reveals Logan's more human side. The game releases on September 15 exclusively for PlayStation 5.
