GTA 6 Is Predicted to Sell Around 45 Million Copies On Its Release Day

While fans eagerly speculate about the release date of the new GTA 6 trailer—especially since the official marketing campaign is expected to kick off within the next few weeks—industry analysts are busy studying potential sales figures for the game once it launches. And those numbers are truly impressive.

Investment bank Piper Sandler, as spotted by Wccftech, recently shared a new report predicting that GTA 6 sales could reach an astonishing 45 million copies sold on the very day of the game's launch—November 19th. Analysts conducted a study showing that the weekly player base for GTA 6 is expected to grow from around 870,000 to 1.3 million by launch. Applying standard multipliers, this translates to approximately $46 million in revenue. Such a start would indeed be extraordinary for the entire gaming industry—and it would certainly please Take-Two Interactive. Previously, it was assumed that the company aimed for GTA 6 to sell between 20 and 25 million copies on launch day to meet its expectations.

With the anticipated imminent launch of the GTA 6 marketing campaign, Rockstar Games is also expected to reveal the game's price and open pre-orders. Despite early rumors, the game is unlikely to be priced at $100, although a recent survey showed that most fans would be willing to pay that amount for the standard edition.
