Nintendo Direct Is Confirmed to Take Place on Tomorrow, on June 9

After numerous rumors and leaks circulating during various gaming events—State of Play, Summer Game Fest, and Xbox Games Showcase—Nintendo has finally confirmed that they will be hosting their own gaming showcase: Nintendo Direct. And fans won’t have to wait much longer to watch it.

The information first appeared on the Nintendo Today app and was later posted on the company's official website. The next Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled for June 9 at 7 AM PT | 10 AM ET | 3 PM UK | 4 PM Europe and will last for 50 minutes. The company also confirmed that Nintendo Treehouse: Live will take place—an additional presentation where developers will likely play previously showcased titles live. Earlier, trusted gaming insider NateTheHate had reported that a presentation would take place sometime between June 8 and 15.

It’s still unclear which games will be featured in the upcoming Nintendo Direct, but there’s a strong possibility it will include a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is rumored to be in development, as well as the recently announced Star Fox 64 remake, now titled Star Fox. Additionally, there’s a chance that release dates for projects from third-party studios might be revealed—such as the recently launched 007 First Light from IO Interactive.
