Gears of War: E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved Pre-Orders Info Leaked Amid Xbox Games Showcase

In less than two hours, another game presentation will take place—one of several this week—the Xbox Games Showcase by Microsoft. Amid the potential announcements and new reveals, premature information about two upcoming Xbox projects has already surfaced.

This is about Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, and Gears of War: E-Day, which the developers at The Coalition will reveal right after the Xbox Games Showcase in a separate event called Gears of War: E-Day Direct. Ahead of these potential announcements, Dealabs has leaked that pre-orders for both projects will become available today, shortly after the presentation concludes. Gears of War: E-Day is expected to be priced at $70, while Halo: Campaign Evolved will cost $50. Additionally, release dates for both games are likely to be announced as well.

As is well known, Halo: Campaign Evolved will be released not only on PC and Xbox Series X/S but also on PlayStation 5. However, the insider did not clarify whether pre-orders will be available today on Sony's platform. Meanwhile, the situation with Gears of War: E-Day is more intriguing. Previously, gaming journalist Jeff Grubb reported that Asha Sharma personally influenced the decision to cancel the PS5 version of the game in favor of making it exclusive to PC and Xbox. Yet, just a few hours ago, Gears of War: E-Day received a PEGI rating that includes a PlayStation 5 version. Most likely, Grubb's sources were mistaken.
