Halo: Campaign Evolved Release Date Reportedly Revealed
Halo: Campaign Evolved, the remake of the original Halo, Combat Evolved, released back in 2011, is one of a few projects that don’t have a release date yet. Earlier this year, the game’s publisher, Xbox Game Studios, confirmed the game is still on track to be launched in 2026, but the recent post from the game’s leaker gives more detailed information.
Specifically, notable Halo dataminer and leaker grunt.api has shared a new post on X social media, which includes some mystery math equations: “EA: (18 × 7 × (MMXX + VI) mod 31) + 1” and “OR: (8 × 7 × (MMXX + VI) mod 31) + 1). However, in terms of Halo: Campaign Evolved, this post is pretty much clear: EA means Early Access, and OR means official release. That means, according to the dataminer, that the early access for Halo: Campaign Evolved starts on July 23, while the official release is set for July 28.
“EA: (18 × 7 × (MMXX + VI) mod 31) + 1
OR: (8 × 7 × (MMXX + VI) mod 31) + 1”
Given that recently Microsoft announced the new Xbox Games Showcase set for June 7, we might expect Halo: Campaign Evolved to appear if this report is true, and the release date is scheduled for July 28. However, at this point neither Halo Studios nor Xbox Game Studios has given any comments on the potential Halo: Campaign Evolved release date.
After Halo: Campaign Evolved, we can expect more Halo remakes—including Halo 2, which was recently reported by gaming insider TCMFGamer. Besides PC and Xbox Series X/S, the game is also being released on PlayStation 5.
