Parkour in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Will Be Improved By Latest Game Series Titles
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will offer plenty of enhancements compared to the original game, which was released by Ubisoft in 2013. In addition to a noticeable improvement in the game thanks to enhanced graphics, lighting, and draw distance, Black Flag Resynced will also feature an expanded storyline and new content.
As we saw in the reveal trailer posted by Ubisoft last week, the game is also aiming to significantly take a step forward in animation thanks to the new gaming engine, Anvil. Thanks to this, the combat system, stealth mechanics, and parkour all look more realistic, and the game feels like a whole new experience. Parkour has always been a hallmark for Assassin’s Creed game series, and during the preview event of Black Flag Resynced, game director Richard Knight told GamesRadar+ that the game was impacted by the franchise’s latest installment—Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Shadows—in this regard. You can check out more words from him below, where he also reveals more information about the influence of Anvil game engine.
"From the start, the intention was clear: deliver a faithful and enriched experience grounded in what players loved. We have rebuilt the entire adventure using our latest Anvil Engine. Expect fully overhauled visuals, new additions that deepen its world and enhance gameplay, both on land and at sea. Movement now flows more naturally from one action to the next, whether you're doing parkour across rooftops in Havana or fighting on the docks.
Parkour builds on the latest design improvements from recent Assassin's Creed games, while still keeping Edward's classic moves.
Naval gameplay also follows the same philosophy and offers more tactical options. New officers will join your crew with powerful abilities, while the Jackdaw’s weapons can be upgraded with new modes to change up the fight. The sea now plays an active role in how you'll be challenged by the elements, weather and waves will influence how your ship will handle while preserving the pace and freedom players remember.”
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced might be Ubisoft’s biggest and most ambitious project yet, with Darby McDevitt, the writer of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, confirmed to be attached to the project; although the game will not feature any DLCs or multiplayer mode, it is confirmed to include some content, which was previously available as downloadable stuff for 2013’s Black Flag —like new areas, unveiling three new islands.
The studio is also reportedly working on the remake of the original Assassin’s Creed game, released in 2007, and there's been a teaser that Ubisoft will make more game series remakes in case Black Flag Resynced is going to be a successful title.
