Refugium Games Released Another Update for Agefield High: Rock the School

A little over two weeks ago, Refugium Games released Agefield High: Rock the School—arguably the biggest gaming disappointment of the year so far. The game generated some buzz due to its similarities to Rockstar Games’ Bully, but it was trashed by both critics and players —primarily for its technical issues, as well as its empty open world, flat characters, high price, and generally boring gameplay.

Since then, the developers have released several patches and now announced on their social media and Steam page the release of another update for Agefield High: Rock the School, designed to fix some technical issues. You can check out the full list of fixes below:

  • Fixed a crash that could occur if a cop chased you into your house while a mission started inside.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur if a pedestrian chased you into your house while a mission started inside.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur if you rode a bike into your house while a mission started inside.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause some players to get stuck in cars if a cutscene ended on the street.
  • Fixed an issue where an NPC could continue attacking you if you entered a class during a fight, resulting in a black screen.
  • Made adjustments to prevent players from getting stuck behind doors in rare cases.
  • Other small fixes and improvements.

Refugium Games also thanked the gaming community for helping to identify many of the technical issues in Agefield High: Rock the School, given the indie studio’s small size and limited staff. However, so far, the game has failed to attract a new wave of players—according to SteamDB statistics, Agefield High: Rock the School now has fewer than 100 players online, and over 60% of reviews remain negative.
