Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Might Be Released on Switch 2 Soon
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, developed by Eidos Montreal and released back in 2021, is one of the most underrated video games, as it has a great storyline, exciting action scenes, and a cool soundtrack, and it’s actually a great choice for casual gamers who aren't familiar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch (via cloud streaming), but it looks like the collection of gaming platforms may be expanded soon. As reported by Gematsu, the game has received the rating from the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee for Nintendo Switch 2— the same rating that the Switch 2 version of Starfield also received earlier today. In this case, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is soon expected to be confirmed for Nintendo’s platform.
Despite Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy being a successful product for Eidos Montreal, praised by the fans and critics, the studio is now having hard times. After various waves of layoffs, the studio cancelled their new IP—Wildlands, which reportedly was almost complete and set to release this year. However, they are still working on an unannounced big-budget game based on Alien universe, which, hopefully, will not be abandoned.
