GTA 6 Gameplay Trailer Might Be Revealed a Few Months Before the Game’s Release

The fans are waiting for new information about Grand Theft Auto VI, the latest installment from Rockstar Games. The game is releasing this November, and the marketing campaign of GTA 6 is confirmed to start this summer. Although there are no details about when we can expect the new trailer to appear.

At the same time, gamers are speculating that the long-awaited gameplay trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI might be released too close to the game’s release—specifically this September. In a recent discussion on Reddit, user ProudBoiiiiLol drew parallels with the release of gameplay trailers for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2; the gap between the release of the trailers and the games’ launch was about two months, so we can expect to see the first gameplay footage of GTA 6 in September of this year.

When GTA 5's gameplay trailer was released, it came out on July 9, 2013, and the game was released on September 17, 2013, which was two months and eight days apart.

Then RDR2's gameplay trailer was released on August 9, 2018, and the game was released on October 26, 2018, which was two months and seventeen days apart.

According to those timelines, we should see the GTA 6 gameplay trailer around early September 2026, with my guess being September 10, as it falls on a Tuesday.

It is also worth noting that we are about a month away from where we were before GTA 6 was delayed for the second time, so time has really flown by. We will be watching gameplay and playing in no time.

It’s still speculation, but it actually plays into Rockstar Games' hands so that the suspense lasts as long as possible. Anyway, we will surely receive official information about GTA 6 this summer, when the game’s marketing starts, with a new trailer remaining more likely to appear first before the gameplay reveal.

There is also a rumor that online mode for GTA 6 could be launched in a month since the game’s release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
