GTA 6 Online Mode Might Be Launched In a Month After the Game’s Release

Undoubtedly, Grand Theft Auto VI is the most anticipated video game of 2026, and millions of fans cannot wait to explore it. The game will feature the legendary location Vice City and, highly likely, the biggest map in GTA history. Moreover, gamers are also intrigued by the game's storyline, which revolves around the duo of Jason and Lucia. As we saw in trailers, the game’s missions are about to be remarkable.

As we know, Grand Theft Auto VI will also feature a multiplayer mode, seemingly similar to GTA Online for GTA V. Unlike some details of its storyline, characters, gameplay, and open world, there is almost nothing revealed about the multiplayer side of GTA 6 yet by Rockstar Games—except this year’s leaks from Discord that sessions could include up to 32 players. But now we have some information about when it could be available. According to gaming insider TheGhostOfHope, the online mode for GTA 6 could be launched a month after the release of the game (November 19), as you can check out his recent post on X below:

“Up to you guys if you wanna believe me on this or not but hearing from someone that the current plan for GTA 6 is to launch online within a month after the release of the game.”

If we take a look at the history, we remember that Grand Theft Auto V was originally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013. GTA Online wasn’t available since day one, as it launched only on October 1. Rockstar Games needed more time to stabilize the online mode, which ended up taking them several more years. Accordingly, they want to do the same with GTA 6, which makes sense.

Developers are likely to present more information about Grand Theft Auto 6's online mode, but not only this, this summer, when the game’s marketing campaign officially starts.
