Capcom is Already Working on Resident Evil 10
After a massive success for Resident Evil Requiem, which arguably could be the best video game of 2026 and has already surfaced the record of the fastest-selling title of franchise, Capcom is actively working on a new—tenth—installment of the horror game series.
A few weeks before Requiem’s release, franchise insider Dusk Golem had already revealed the game is reportedly set to release somewhere between 2029 and 2031. In a new report, he shared a new information on Resident Evil 10; specifically, he confirmed the game has been in development for 5 years, as Capcom started back in 2021. Once again, scooper mentioned the new title will release in a few years, and the development even has been rebooted since then. You can check his latest report below:
“Been in development since 2021 I hear, even been rebooted once in dev already. Though won't be out for another few years.
A general rule of thumb is to keep Resident Evil games releasing as quickly as they do, there's usually anywhere from 4-7 Resident Evil games in dev at once.”
As you can see, Dusk Golem also revealed there are usually ‘from 4-7 Resident Evil games in development at once.’ According to various reports, Capcom is also working on remakes of the original Resident Evil title, Resident Evil Zero, and Resident Evil Code: Veronica. All titles are likely to be at different stages of development; a new version of Code Veronica, according to another gaming insider, NateTheHate, will release in 2027, while the Resident Evil Zero remake is reportedly set to launch the year after. As for the remake of the original Resident Evil, there are no specific dates, but the game is confirmed to enter the production stage.
Capcom is also working on a DLC for Resident Evil Requiem; despite previous rumors it could be dedicated to Alyssa Ashcroft, the mother of Grace Ashcroft, one of two protagonists in the game, a new update from Dusk Golem reveals Leon could now be the lead character in the expansion.
