Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake is in Active Development at Capcom
Capcom is actively working to expand Resident Evil franchise, with the ninth installment, Resident Evil Requiem, set to release next month, and multiple remakes are reportedly in development.
One of those remakes is Resident Evil Code: Veronica—the game that features Chris and Claire Redfield as protagonists and is set after the events of Resident Evil 2. Reliable gaming insider NateTheHate2 confirms not only that the remake is in development, but also that Capcom is targeting to release the title in the first half of 2027, as you can check below:

Though it's not the first report of a Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake, Capcom hasn't confirmed it yet, so this information should be considered with a grain of salt.
