Another Resident Evil Title Will Get a Remake Soon
Capcom has really reestablished the Resident Evil franchise over the last few years by releasing remakes of the cult game series titles, such as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Along with new installments, Resident Evil is one of the most advanced gaming franchises, and the recently released Resident Evil Requiem has just strengthened this status.
It seems like Capcom isn’t changing its strategy about releasing Resident Evil remakes. Previous reports confirm new versions of Resident Evil Code: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero are coming out soon, and franchise scooper Dusk Golem now reveals Capcom is also working on a remake of the original Resident Evil title. According to an insider, the production is now underway. He didn’t mention the potential release date or some other details, but it’s unlikely to happen soon, as Capcom is also working on other projects.

The original Resident Evil video game was released back in 1996 for PlayStation. It features Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine as the main characters, who are trying to escape a mansion full of zombies. Considering that the game was released 30 years ago, we can expect a huge amount of work made by Capcom, and the remake will probably look much more different than the original game—but there is no doubt the developers will make a high-quality product.
As for Resident Evil Requiem, the game is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
