Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 Finally Brings Rogue to the Roster
NetEase Games has officially confirmed that Rogue will join Marvel Rivals as a Vanguard when Season 5.5 launches on December 12. This reveal follows the recent addition of Gambit in early November—introduced as a Strategist rather than the Duelist many players expected. Interestingly, Season 5 will now become the first-ever season without a new Duelist, reflecting the community’s long-standing request for more Strategists and Vanguards. NetEase has clearly been listening.
Rogue Joins as a Vanguard — With Power Theft at the Core ⚡
In its latest Dev Vision update, the studio confirmed that Rogue will debut as one of the game’s most aggressive Vanguards. Her key mechanic: stealing enemy abilities mid-fight.For example, striking Doctor Strange with a melee ability lets her steal Shield of the Seraphim, gaining temporary defensive power. This ability-copying playstyle could dramatically shift teamfights, offering a high-skill, high-impact tool similar to Loki’s ultimate theft, but with more frequent tactical uses.
Rogue Expands the Explosive Entanglement Team-Up 🔥
Rogue will also join the Explosive Entanglement team-up with Magneto and Gambit, unlocking unique synergy perks. Her special combo with Gambit allows her to channel his kinetic energy, causing all her attacks to damage nearby enemies while healing allies within range. This makes the trio one of the strongest hybrid offensive-support team-ups in the game.
