Palworld X ULTRAKILL Crossover Sets December Release With New Weapons And A Shadowed Giant
Palworld x ULTRAKILL is now locked in for December 17, 2025, marking the survival hit’s second major crossover and one of its most visible collaborations to date. The update ties the creature-driven sandbox to one of the most praised shooters of the last decade, and Pocketpair released the date with a trailer that sketches a fairly broad view of what players can expect.
The crossover leans heavily on action. ULTRAKILL’s weapons take a central place, and the trailer lingers on the coin-parry technique that helped define the shooter’s style. Palworld players will also be able to step into versions of V.1 and V.2, folding some of ULTRAKILL’s most recognizable combat silhouettes into Palworld’s broader system of open-range encounters and base raids. Pocketpair frames the update under the “Home Sweet Home” banner, which also includes a set of building features. The most visible is a recoloring tool that lets players shift the palette of major structures or delegate the work to their Pals.
The studio also used those closing seconds to revive an old mystery: a silhouette that resembles the long-teased Legendary Pal many fans refer to as the Colossal Whale. It places the crossover in a wider arc as the game edges closer to its 1.0 launch window and continues to build on the momentum created by ULTRAKILL’s reach, especially the deep community footprint of ULTRAKILL on Steam.
The timing shows how Pocketpair now uses collaborations as regular beats in Palworld’s development cycle. After the Terraria crossover earlier this year, the studio returns to another indie mainstay with a similarly large PC audience. ULTRAKILL has earned more than 120,000 positive user reviews, and its style fits cleanly with Palworld’s growing catalogue of firearms and craftable defenses. The crossover pushes that shared space further rather than changing the fundamentals of the game, which keeps the update in line with Pocketpair’s gradual expansion strategy.
Still, the closing moment of the trailer has drawn the most speculation. The camera pans across a shoreline where a human character confronts a huge, shadowed Pal rising from the water. Only fragments of its shape are visible: a rounded outline, a broad mass, and a jewel-like glint near the head. Longtime followers recognized the callback to a creature shown in early pre-release footage, a Legendary flying whale Pal that never made its way into the current build. The brief shot mentions nothing concrete, but the framing signals that 1.0 content is no longer a distant thread. Pocketpair has been seeding clues for months, and this tease reads as another deliberate step toward the game’s next stage.
The December update will likely serve as one of the last major additions before the studio speaks in detail about its full release. For now, Palworld sits in a familiar but active position: trading on collaborations, adding tools for creators, and stoking curiosity with a few seconds of shadow and water.
