One of the main points of discussion has been the new character, Spearwoman. According to GGG, her combat effectiveness heavily relies on the parry mechanic, which turned out to be inconvenient for many players. In response, the developers have announced a new ability that will provide an alternative way to gain charges early in the game. Additionally, the parrying mechanic itself will be reworked to have a greater impact, making it feel more substantial and rewarding during combat.

Another concern from players was the hybrid combat system of Spearwoman. Some players prefer ranged combat, while the character was designed to be versatile. To encourage players to use both melee and ranged attacks, the developers will increase the throwing speed of the spear, especially the lightning spear, by 25%.

Minions will also see changes, with both damage and health being boosted once again to make them more viable in battle, particularly during the early stages. However, the scaling rework introduced in the previous update for endgame content will remain in place.

GGG also acknowledged that enemies in the game had too much health after the first act. As a result, most monsters across the campaign have already received a 25% health reduction, and rare enemies, whose health bonuses were too high, have had their health reduced by up to 60% after rolling back to version 0.1.0 values.

There were also reports of technical issues, with players encountering a critical error “Failed to deserialise object”, leading to crashes. This bug has been fixed, and the team is now focusing on resolving server stability issues.

In addition, players complained about the size of some areas. GGG is currently investigating whether this discomfort stems from the number of strong mobs or the placement of checkpoints before making any potential adjustments to the size of the zones.

Finally, the developers promised a series of quality-of-life improvements. These include an expanded item sorting system and a new bookmarking system for named locations on the Atlas map, making it easier to find key areas.

Grinding Gear Games has once again shown its commitment to listening to player feedback and working diligently to improve the gaming experience in Path of Exile 2.
