La Quimera, the New Shooter from the Creators of Metro, Launches on April 25

Reburn, a studio formed by former developers of 4A Games Ukraine, is set to release its story-driven shooter La Quimera on April 25.

Set in a dystopian future in the year 2064, La Quimera takes players to a world devastated by a series of ecological and man-made disasters that occurred throughout the 2030s and 2040s. These events led to the collapse of global systems and the rise of fragmented microstates. In this new world order, traditional armies have been replaced by private military companies. Players will step into the role of a PMC operative tasked with high-risk missions across a grim and chaotic Latin America.

Gameplay supports both solo play and online co-op with up to two friends. Mercenaries are equipped with advanced weapons, exoskeletons, and powerful combat abilities. Players will need to strategically combine their skills and gear to face off against gangs, stealth snipers, and elite special forces. Developers also highlight the presence of enemy robots capable of flying and crawling on walls and ceilings, adding a unique tactical element to the combat.

A closed beta test is scheduled to begin on April 12 and will run for 24 hours. Interested players can apply now via the game’s Steam page. The beta will feature a key mission from the middle of the campaign and will support both solo and cooperative modes. The game will be available on PC via Steam at a price of $29.99.
