Ubisoft Announces Patch 1.0.2 for Assassin's Creed Shadows - New Features and Fixes Incoming

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin's Creed Shadows will receive its first major update, Patch 1.0.2, on April 8. The patch will be available on all supported platforms at 2 pm UTC/ 10 am EDT/ 7 am PT.

This update, which weighs between 11 GB on Steam and up to 19.5 GB on Xbox Series, will reintroduce several features that fans have missed from previous Assassin's Creed titles, along with a range of enhancements and fixes based on player feedback since launch.

Gameplay Improvements

In update 1.0.2, the developers have introduced several highly anticipated enhancements based on player feedback.

Auto-Follow Horse and Speed Upgrades

Players can now enable the Auto-Follow feature for their horse, allowing it to automatically follow the road to a designated target. Additionally, horse movement speed in cities has been increased, making it easier and faster to reach important locations.

Skill Node Reset

For players who enjoy experimenting with different playstyles, a new option has been added to reset skill nodes in the skill trees for the characters Naoe and Yasuke. This allows for better customization and adaptation to new strategies.

Multi-Item Selling and Dismantling

At shops and blacksmith stations, players can now sell or dismantle multiple items at once, significantly speeding up the trading and inventory management process.

Simplified Access to the Investigation Board

By holding the OPTION button, players can now instantly access the Investigation Board without having to search through multiple menus.

Enhancements for PS5 Pro

Visual improvements have also been added for PlayStation 5 Pro users. The patch includes support for PSSR on PS5 Pro, which enhances visual clarity and detail for a sharper, more refined image.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

In addition to the new features, patch 1.0.2 includes numerous bug fixes. These address issues with quests, incorrect NPC behavior, combat encounter balancing, save system improvements, and graphic artifact corrections. Players should no longer experience bugs such as menu freezes or quest completion errors.

Support for Various Modes

For PC players running Assassin's Creed Shadows in Performance Mode, a frame rate option above 30 FPS is now available. This improves overall smoothness and provides a more comfortable gameplay experience.
