The 2023 first-person shooter RoboCop: Rogue City is getting a sequel later this year, titled RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business. Developed by Teyon, the studio behind Terminator: Resistance, the original game placed players in the metallic boots of Alex Murphy, the cybernetic enforcer of Old Detroit, with Peter Weller reprising his legendary role. Set between RoboCop 2 and 3, the game allowed players to engage in intense shootouts and investigate crimes, delivering a faithful adaptation of the iconic 80s sci-fi franchise.

Upon its November 2023 release, RoboCop: Rogue City became an instant success, attracting 435,000 players within two weeks. Fans praised its ability to capture the raw power of RoboCop, offering a mix of brutal firepower and the option to enforce the law through diplomacy or violence, all while staying true to the Prime Directives.

Now, publisher Nacon has revealed the next chapter in the saga. According to VGC, RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is set in OmniTower, a massive residential complex developed by Omni Consumer Products (OCP). When a heavily armed mercenary group seizes control, transforming it into a deadly stronghold, RoboCop is called into action. Players will need to battle their way to the top, facing off against high-tech enemies wielding cutting-edge weaponry.

New Weapons, Brutal Finishers & Standalone Expansion Details

The announcement trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business showcases new gameplay elements, including an expanded arsenal. Players will wield powerful new weapons, such as the Cryo Cannon, capable of freezing enemies. Additionally, RoboCop can now execute devastating finishing moves, smashing opponents into walls, vending machines, and other destructible elements.

Nacon describes the game as a standalone expansion rather than a full-length sequel, meaning the campaign will likely be shorter than RoboCop: Rogue City but still packed with action.
