Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog and director of The Last of Us, has addressed speculation surrounding a possible third installment in the acclaimed franchise. In a recent statement, Druckmann suggested that The Last of Us Part 2 could be the final game in the series, a remark that may disappoint fans hoping for a sequel. Since its PS3 debut in 2013, The Last of Us has remained one of PlayStation’s most iconic franchises, spawning a remaster, a sequel, a full remake, and a hit television adaptation.
