The second Major tournament of 2022 has come to an end. The event took place from October 31 to November 13, and $1,250,000 was raffled off as part of the tournament. For the lion's share of the prize money of $500,000, 24 teams from different parts of the world came face to face in fierce battles. In pursuit of the title of winner, $500,000 and invites to Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023 and BLAST Premier Final 2022, both first-tier teams like Natus Vincere, Heroic, Team Liquid, Team Vitality, FaZe Clan and others, as well as representatives of a lower class took part. The latter include 9z Team, Grayhound Gaming, Imperial Esports, Bad News Eagles and others.
One of the distinguishing features of such a LAN event was the audience that came to the tournament. Brazilian fans showed that they are real CS:GO fans ready to support their countrymen. During the matches with the participation of FURIA Esports, the stands were bursting with fan support, and posters flaunted throughout the arena that encouraged the Brazilian players and motivated them to win. By the way, Riocentro and Jeunesse Arena became the venues for the Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2022 matches. The Riocentro hosted the Challengers Stage and Legends Stage matches, while the Jeunesse Arena hosted the events of the final part of the event, where the Brazilian fans were able to prove themselves with might and main.
