G2 Esports appoints Alban Deschelotte as new general manager
European esports organization G2 Esports has appointed Alban Deschelotte, formerly at Riot Games, as its new General Manager.
Note that before joining G2 Esports, Deschelotte was Head of Partnerships and Business Development in the EMEA region at Riot Games. In addition, he has held positions at The Coca-Cola Company as well as Havas Sports and Entertainment France.

According to a press release, Deschelotte is credited with bringing brands like KitKat and KIA into the esports sector during his tenure at Riot Games. He also helped expand broadcast distribution for the League of Legends European Championships (LEC).

G2 Esports also announced that Peter Mucha, the organization's chief executive, will move into an observer role for the Board of Directors. The transition, which is expected to take place in the second half of 2021, will be accompanied by support and advice from G2 on the strategic development of the company.
