The Russian esports organization Virtus.pro announced a partnership agreement with the sports platform Lympo. As a result of the deal, the organization will issue collectible cards in the form of NFT tokens. It is noted that images of the players of the first Dota 2 and CS: GO rosters of the organization will appear on the cards. At the same time, NFT tokens will be distributed on the Lympo mining platform.

Sergey Glamazda, General Manager of Virtus.pro:"The tradition of collecting sportsmen's cards originated more than a hundred years ago. The idea began with the issue of a baseball player's card and gained great popularity, moving to many sports: people began to collect cards of their idols, sell, inherit - thanks to which a kind of ecosystem was formed. Now the cost of some collectible cards a century ago reaches several million dollars. With the help of blockchain technology, this ecosystem has been transferred to the digital world, securing ownership in the virtual space. We are glad that this tradition has continued in esports and we became a part of it thanks to our partners Lympo. "

It is reported that holders of collectible cards will have the right to sell or trade their cards without any restrictions. The ownership and authenticity of Virtus.pro NFT tokens is verified using the blockchain.

Lympo, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, is an NFT sports ecosystem that includes NFTs with the intellectual property rights of famous athletes and organizations. The platform also offers custom kits created by various artists and sports authorities.
