Virtus.pro parts ways with sports director

The Russian esports organization Virtus.pro announced the parting with Lazar ', who has been the club's sports director since August last year. The organization thanked the former professional basketball player for his work, without providing specific reasons for leaving.

Today we say "Goodbye!" Ivan "Lazar'" Lazarev, now ex-sports director of Virtus.pro. Vanya did a great job at the club, which is noted by all the players. Of particular note is his contribution to the result of the Dota 2 roster at TI10, where Ivan's mentoring was a support for our young team.

Now our paths diverge, but, as Vanya himself reports, VP and the Fan Bears will forever remain in his heart! And we will all miss his optimism and energy!

Lazar' is a former professional player of the CSKA basketball team, champion of the Euroleague and the VTB United League. Note that Lazarev has been playing basketball professionally since 2009. In March 2021, he joined the RuHub studio as a Dota 2 match commentator.

Joining Virtus.pro as a sports director, he actively worked with all the teams of the club, and also supervised the Dota 2 roster at The International 10
