The Global Esports Federation enters into a strategic partnership with the European Olympic Committees
The Global Esports Federation has announced a strategic partnership with the European Olympic Committees aimed at expanding the development of the industry across the continent. Reported. that the collaboration is part of the European Commission's initiatives to explore new ways of interacting with young people across Europe.
Spyros Capralos, President of the European Olympic Committees: "The European Olympic Committees are looking forward to this strategic partnership with the Global Esports Federation as we explore the significant growth of esports in our European family. Through this partnership, we also focus on promoting sport and Olympic values by establishing links with with all of our events and exploring new forms of fan engagement. Europe is one of the growing regions in the development of esports. The partnership with the Global Esports Federation will help develop, build and shape our strategy around esports."
The parties look forward to jointly developing new opportunities to establish a link between traditional sports and e-sports. The European Games, the third edition of which is being prepared in Krakow-Małopolska, will be one such manifestation.

The strategic partnership aims to strengthen Europe's position as a gaming and esports hub on a global level. The partnership comes a week after the EU Parliament voted to pass a resolution recognizing the value of the esports and video game industry and recommending a long-term strategy to support and fund the industries.
