Pioneers Plans to Sign GMT Esports Apex Legends Roster
According to the Dexerto portal, the North American esports organization Pioneers plans to sign the Apex Legends roster of GMT Esports. With this decision, the club intends to enter a new esports discipline, continuing its expansion.
GMT Esports has been supporting the Apex Legends roster since the end of last year, when an organization from Baku signed the GnaskeOliDel team. During this time, the British team became the winner of VERSUS - ARENA #19, Legion Masters #3 - EMEA and Proving Grounds: Season 5 - Finals, and also got into the top three according to the results of VERSUS - JAXON APEX CUP, VNM Apex Circuit #9 - EMEA, VERSUS - ARENA #23 and XP League - EMEA Tournament.
In addition, the roster performed well at major championships, taking part in the Apex Legends Global Series: Split 1 Pro League - EMEA (5th place), Apex Legends Global Series: Split 1 Playoffs - EMEA (9th place), Apex Legends Global Series: Split 2 Pro League - EMEA (4th place), Apex Legends Global Series: Split 2 Playoffs (12th place) and Apex Legends Global Series: 2022 Championship (5th place).
Note that the North American esports organization Pioneers currently owns Halo, VALORANT, Rockey League, Splitgate, and Madden rosters. At the same time, the club has never been represented in Apex Legends before.
A deal between the two entities is due to be announced during September.
