Tournament operator BLAST teamed up with DI

Tournament operator BLAST has announced a merger with the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) to strengthen the Danish esports ecosystem. As part of the cooperation, the parties will strive to create a national structure for the esports industry.

Note that this is not the first time that DI has paid attention to supporting Danish esports. Earlier this year, the Confederation teamed up with the Danish organization Astralis to support the development of the esports industry in Denmark.

Frederikke Emily Wacker, Head of Communications at BLAST: "Denmark has grown to become the market leader in esports over the past few years thanks to top-notch teams, players and tournaments, and an extremely passionate fan base. Working with Dansk Industrial will allow us to collaborate in building a common goal and structures to help create a sustainable top-down vision to further cement Denmark's position as a world leader."

Founded in 1992, DI is a major business and employer organization based in the country. The confederation mainly covers the manufacturing and service industries, including transportation, energy, IT, healthcare and trade services.

The nearest championship from BLAST will be BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, which will be held from June 15 to 19 in Lisbon. Team Vitality, OG, BIG, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, NAVI, ENCE and paiN Gaming will take part in the tournament.
