BLAST Premier announces partnership with Fortress
Tournament operator BLAST Premier announced the start of cooperation with the Australian tournament platform Fortress. The partnership will host the first ever championship for Oceania, which will serve as a qualifier for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 in October.
Both tournament operators will host the Fortress OCE Masters at the Alienware Arena in Melbourne. During the event, the four best teams in the region will compete for a place at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022.
Alexander Levine, Vice President of Distribution for BLAST Premier: "We are delighted to be partnering with Fortress. As a gaming house in Australia, with an exciting portfolio of events and businesses, Fortress is the perfect partner given to BLAST Premier fans and the wider Australian audience. We look forward to when the Australian qualifier for BLAST is played at their state-of-the-art venue."
The official dates for the Fortress OCE Masters, BLAST's regional qualifier, as well as tournament details regarding its structure, have not been confirmed.
Mads Brown, Fortress COO: "We are thrilled to be partnering with BLAST, one of the world's leading esports companies, renowned for its ground-breaking tournaments and best-in-class production."
After its launch in March 2020, Fortress had to shut down operations a few days later due to the coronavirus pandemic. After the setback, Fortress began building its community through weekly events as well as online tournaments.
