Kinguin terminates cooperation with users from Russia and Belarus
The Polish trading platform Kinguin announced the termination of cooperation with users from Russia and Belarus.
Dear customers and partners, the invasion of Russian and Belarusian troops into Ukraine is an unprovoked act of war against innocent people. Kinguin strongly opposes the actions of Russia and stands in solidarity with his Ukrainian colleagues, friends and citizens of the country. In response to the aggression, Kinguin decided:
- Suspend relations with Russian and Belarusian companies, banks and sellers.
- Prohibit Russian and Belarusian users from selling through Kinguin.
- Suspend all payments to Russian and Belarusian bank accounts and payment systems.
In addition, we are also taking supportive measures towards the Ukrainian people. The Kinguin Esports Performance Center in Warsaw is now open free of charge for all Ukrainian esports players and their families. Although our capacity is limited, we will work together to accommodate every guest with dignity.
We strive to serve the passionate video game community around the world, and like them, we believe that video games have the power to bring people around the world together.
Our thoughts are with all those affected by this crisis.
Note that currently s1mple and b1t, who play for the NAVI team, are located in the Kinguin Esports Performance Center. This was shared by s1mple himself during his last live broadcast.
Now I'm in Poland, we came here right after the tournament on Monday, 2 days ago. After the tournament, we decided that everyone wanted to go home. But you can't get into Ukraine.
I want to immediately say thank you to the Polish organization Kinguin, which provided us with completely free housing for any period.
I thought about streaming on my computer, but I don't want to play at all. Lately, I have no desire to play at all. I'm on the phone all the time. Yesterday was my mom's birthday. Of course, she celebrated it with the lights off. As you can see, I'm here instead of celebrating my birthday with my mom like I did last year.
I am in Poland and do not know what will happen next.
Recall that on the eve of the Ukrainian eSports organization HellRaisers announced the suspension of its activities for an indefinite period. At the same time, the NAVI club broke off cooperation with the ESforce holding, which owns such assets as RuHub, Epic Esports Events, Cybersport.ru and Virtus.pro.
