The organizers of DOTA Summit 8 gave out the only direct invite to the event. OG no longer need to participate in qualifiers. It should be mentioned that Virtus.Pro, who won two The Summit seasons on a row, are dissatisfied with this decision.

The LAN-finals will take place on December 13 – 17 in the playing house of Beyond The Summit studio in LA, USA. 8 teams will compete for the prize pool of $300,000 and 300 points necessary to get to The International 2018.
