Xtreme Gaming Parts Ways With Four Players and Head Coach

Chinese Dota 2 organization Xtreme Gaming has announced a major roster shake-up, releasing four players and its head coach at once. The news came via an official statement from the club's management on Weibo.

• Lin "Xxs" Jing (Offlane)
• Xu "fy" Linsen (Soft Support)
• Ye "xNova" Jianwei (Hard Support)
• Zhang "LaNm" Zhicheng (Head Coach)

The organization thanked each of them for their contributions to the club. Special praise went to Xxs, who stuck with the team through a rough patch of poor results and ultimately helped carry it to the grand final of The International 2025, as well as to xNova for his reliability and tactical input throughout the season.

Worth remembering: this lineup was only put together a year ago, in October 2025, when the club swapped out Xm and XinQ for NothingToSay and fy. The move paid off at the time the team had a strong TI2025 run, reaching the grand final before falling to Team Falcons in a tight fifth game.

The following season, though, the roster couldn't repeat that success. Over the year, the team's only podium finish was a third place at ESL One Birmingham 2026. Things got shaken up further in the summer when xiao8 stepped down as coach and LaNm returned to the role. That didn't turn things around either Xtreme Gaming finished 14th-15th at The International 2026 in Shanghai, falling well short of their previous run.

There's no word yet on what Xtreme Gaming's roster will look like going forward. Ame is currently the only player left on the active roster, and the organization will likely build the next lineup around him.

It's also worth noting that rumors are circulating online that XG could disband its Dota 2 division entirely and exit the game, following in the rumors of Team Falcons ' recent move. So far, though, none of this has been confirmed.
