OG Disbands Dota 2 Roster
OG, the esports organization, has announced the complete disbandment of its active Dota 2 roster, which was formed as recently as September 2025.
The team failed to qualify for key tournaments of the season, losing all five qualifiers after the new roster was announced. Despite the return of Johan “N0tail” Sundstein as a player/coach, the results did not improve.
After a difficult start to the season, we have made the tough decision to part ways with our current active Dota 2 roster. We'd like to thank the team for their hard work and enthusiasm during their time with us, and truly wish them the best with their future projects - we'll be rooting for you, guys
This isn't the end of the road for us in Dota 2 however - stay tuned
In an official statement, OG said that the decision was difficult. The organization thanked the players for their efforts and emphasized that it is not leaving the discipline — a new roster will be announced later.
The last active roster included: Indzhi “Shad” Liub, Mykhailo “MikSa” Yovanovich, Tamir “Daze” Tokpanov, and Ihor “Stojkov” Stoykov, with coach Mark “HoviteY” Abrusnikov serving as coach/assistant. Previously, the organization had also disbanded its South American division, OG.LATAM.
In 2025, OG frequently changed its lineup — according to reports, the club released up to 15 players and several coaches during the year.
After the disbandment, OG is focused on a reset and has promised to announce a new roster soon. Former player Ivan “Kidaro” Bondarev reacted:
“We are OG to the very end. As far as I know, I’m not in the plans… but I’ll still be watching to see what comes next.”
