The platform thanked users for participating in the Rankings Beta, and encouraged the community to stay tuned for updates via its official Discord channel. According to Liquipedia, the temporary removal is part of a plan to develop a more refined and accurate ranking approach.

A New Take on Team Rankings

Liquipedia initially launched the ranking system on July 7, aiming to go beyond traditional win-loss metrics. The list factored in a wide range of in-game and external performance indicators, such as:

  • GPM (Gold Per Minute)
  • XPM (Experience Per Minute)
  • Kill/Death/Assist (K/D/A) ratios
  • And other gameplay statistics

This comprehensive approach sought to provide a deeper, data-driven snapshot of competitive team performance across the Dota 2 scene.

Tundra Esports Held the Top Spot Before Removal

Before the rankings were taken offline, Tundra Esports occupied the number one position, reflecting their strong performance in recent matches. It remains to be seen how the revised system will evaluate teams when it returns.

What’s Next for the Rankings?

While Liquipedia hasn’t shared a specific timeline, it’s clear that the team is taking feedback seriously and working on improvements. For now, Dota 2 fans will have to wait a bit longer for the next iteration of the community-driven team rankings.
