BLAST Slam V Heads to China: Tournament Details and Series Updates

BLAST, one of the largest organizers of international esports tournaments, has officially confirmed the BLAST Slam V event in China. The tournament will take place from November 25 to December 7, 2025, in Chengdu at the Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre, which can accommodate up to 12,000 spectators. This will mark BLAST's first arena-style event on mainland China, highlighting the organization’s growing global expansion and its commitment to strengthening its presence in the Asian market.

Participants and Format of BLAST Slam V

Currently, six teams have received direct invitations: Tundra Esports, Heroic, Team Spirit, Team Falcons, PARIVISION, and Team Liquid. The organizers will also distribute two additional invitations, one of which will go to a team from China. The remaining four teams will be determined through regional qualifiers, giving local and emerging international squads a chance to compete on a major global stage.

The prize pool for the tournament is $1,000,000 USD, making BLAST Slam V one of the most prestigious events of the year in esports. The tournament will feature a combination of online and offline stages, with playoffs taking place live in front of a full audience, creating an exciting and immersive competition atmosphere.

BLAST Slam IV in Singapore

Prior to Slam V, BLAST announced BLAST Slam IV, which will take place from October 28 to November 9, 2025, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. This tournament will also follow a hybrid format: the group stage will be played online, while the playoffs and finals will be held live in the arena, with broadcasts on popular streaming platforms.

Seven teams have already been confirmed for Slam IV, including Team Liquid, Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Tundra Esports, Team Spirit, Talon Esports, and Heroic. The prize pool is also $1,000,000 USD, with teams competing for spots in the semifinals, play-ins, and Last Chance Playoff, ensuring a dynamic and exciting tournament experience.
