Dota 2 BLAST Slam II: Everything You Need to Know

We can congratulate all Dota 2 fans, as the professional season has finally begun. The FISSURE PLAYGROUND #1 recently concluded, and right after it, on February 4, 2025, a major tournament—BLAST Slam II—kicks off. This is the second time this event is being held, so we can expect many exciting innovations from the organizers and high-quality, spectacular gameplay from the teams. In this article, we will tell you everything you need to know about BLAST Slam II.

Dates and Format

As mentioned above, BLAST Slam II starts on February 4, 2025, and will run until February 9, 2025, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The tournament will feature 10 top-tier teams invited by the organizers. The format of this large-scale event is quite unusual, as similar tournaments usually have 16 or 20 teams, making BLAST Slam II stand out.

The matches will follow a Round-robin group stage and a Single-elimination playoffs system, ensuring a dynamic event with an optimal number of matches.

Group Stage

• Two round-robin groups of five teams each
• All matches are Bo1
• Teams are seeded into the playoffs based on their placement (King of the Hill format):
• 1st place teams advance to the Semifinals
• 2nd place teams advance to the Quarterfinals
• 3rd place teams advance to Round 2
• 4th and 5th place teams advance to Round 1

Playoffs

• Single-elimination bracket
• Grand Final is Bo5, all other matches are Bo3
