Fly returns to Evil Geniuses

Only five days have passed since the departure of Jesse 'JerAx' Vainikka from Evil Geniuses, and the team has already found a replacement for the departed support and captain. The leadership of the American club announces the return of Fly to their ranks in order to continue the joint conquest of the eSports Olympus. Tal Aizik will play alongside Artur 'Arteezy' Babaev, Abed 'Abed' Yusop, Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko and Andreas 'Cr1t-' Nielsen.

Fly already has experience playing under the EG tag. In 2018, he left OG and went to play with Evil Geniuses. It is this move on the part of the player that many will later call a betrayal towards n0tail, after which the esports community will observe enmity between Fly and n0tail.

Fly is the most famous Dota 2 player of Israeli origin. The career of the 29-year-old esportsman began in 2012 under the Fnatic.EU tag. He later played under the tags Team Secret, MeePwn'd and Complexity Gaming, and since 2015 his life has completely changed when he joined n0tail and subsequently performed with him as part of monkey Business and OG. Then, within two years, the famous duet won four Major tournaments: The Frankfurt Major 2015, The Manila Major 2016, The Boston Major 2016 and The Kiev Major 2017. After they failed to win The International 2017 with OG, the esportsman moved to Evil Geniuses and took 3rd place with the Americans at TI8, where he defeated n0tail with his comrades from OG. The International 2019 ended with a 5th-6th place in the standings for Fly. There, OG won the second time, which was the first time in the history of Dota 2. For this reason, watching the triumph of OG, where Aizik decided to leave, was most likely even more painful. Throughout his career, Tal 'Fly' Aizik has earned more than $2,600,000 in prize money, which, to put it mildly, is not possible for every Dota 2 player.

The last tournament in which Evil Geniuses played with JerAx on board was ESL One Stockholm Major 2022. There the team showed a very mediocre result and, being the only one who failed to overcome the group stage, was the first to leave the competition.

Updated Evil Geniuses roster

  • Arthur 'Arteezy' Babaev
  • Abed 'Abed' Yusop
  • Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko
  • Andreas 'Cr1t-' Nielsen
  • Tal 'Fly' Ayzik
