boo1k left the post of Virtus.pro coach
The Russian esports organization Virtus.pro announced the parting with boo1k, who was the head coach of the Dota 2 roster for the past nine months. It is reported that such a decision was made in connection with the unsatisfactory results of the team.
Last August, when boo1k joined the Virtus.pro team, there were high hopes for him. Of course, the 5th-6th place at The International 2021 cannot be considered a failure, however, the subsequent results of the Dota 2 roster were a disappointment.
The coach of Virtus.pro has a large area of responsibility, including the integration of new players into the team, building the training process, and drafting. This is a significant part of the overall contribution to winning tournaments. Even taking into account the difficult circumstances after TI, we cannot note great success in these areas. The lack of visible prospects for improvement led to the decision to part ways with boo1k.
boo1k took over Virtus.pro in August last year. During his work, the 31-year-old Russian specialist helped the team get into the top three at ESL One Fall 2021, DPC EEU 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division I, DPC EEU 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Final and Dota 2 Champions League Season 9, and also take 5th-6th place in The International 2021.
However, the team's disqualification from DPC EEU 2021/2022 Tour 2: Playoffs led to the first wave of roster changes. Recall that two days ago the organization parted ways with Pure, due to which the roster was excluded from the regional tournament.
From now on Virtus.pro's Dota 2 roster is as follows:
- gpk.
- DM.
- yamich.
- xakoda.
